FEMINISM ISN'T HERE FOR YOUR COMFORT;
The
Sisterhood
Sisterhood is all about unity, empowerment and liberation for all women, standing up for each other, standing together, standing against the forces in society which actively suppress us as a collective, honouring our own journeys, our pain, our struggles and each others too. Having no judgements, no shame and no stigma surrounding our past and our experiences, being held by one and other, lifting womankind and enabling a community for us all to feel safe in.
Intersectional Feminism
The belief in social, economic, and political equality of the sexes. Although largely originating in the West, feminism is manifested worldwide and is represented by various institutions committed to activity on behalf of women’s rights and interests. Recognising that barriers to gender equality vary according to other aspects of a woman’s identity, including age, race, ethnicity, sexuality, class and religion, and striving to address a diverse spectrum of women’s issues. In order to make the feminist movement more progressive, we need to pay greater attention to marginalised groups within the movement. Progress cannot be made if we aren’t recognising the struggles of ALL women.
Viva La Sisterhood
We are a community focusing on uplifting, empowering and healing women, together. To raise awareness of the issues we face as women in the world today. We are here to hold space, to reconnect, build the sisterhood, give back to the community which have held us and allowed us to be we are today. To give women a voice, to let them know they are powerful forces to be reckoned with.
